Exigent Circumstances: General Note

Several state statutes (including Illinois 625 ILCS 5/4-111, eff. Jan 2024) require manufacturers and vendors hosting stolen vehicle tracking technology to provide a 24/7 LE phone line for vehicles involved in vehicular hijacking, kidnapping, or other exigent circumstances, and to waive lapsed-subscription fees in those cases. Check your jurisdiction's statute and consult your prosecutor.

Reports / Data

Local storage — never transmitted

FraudTrax Sync (Cloud)

Optional. If configured, records can be pushed to or pulled from a fraudtrax.net (or self-hosted) endpoint. Credentials are stored locally and never included in record exports. No server is wired yet — this is the cabling for the eventual integration.

Not configured.

Originator / Letterhead

Saved locally. Populates the activation-letter "From" block on every letter.

Activity Report

Filter records, then export as PDF (browser print), Word, CSV, JSON, or email. The report includes every status change in the audit log.

Import

Load a previously exported JSON file. Existing records will be merged (duplicates by VIN+Date overwrite).
